SOCIAL WORKER NEEDED ON URGENT BASIS FOR HAITI 'MEETING PLACE'

Purpose of engagement:

-- to help donors and recipients co-create a 'conversation' between humanitarian aid agencies and humanitarian aid recipients along the lines of community-based participatory research.

-- to draw up a simple 5-point guide to the 'conversation' for the public eye.

Foreseeable skills are the ability:

1. to create a safe environment
2. to expose feelings of vulnerability
3. to enroll parties in the need to build trust.
4. to facilitate trustbuilding
5. to help parties co-create common understanding by means of situation-emergent language.
7. to lead parties in some form of modified full value contract.

-- so that agencies and grassroots can work together more effectively in getting aid to Haiti.

Ideally, our social worker should have certification in group clinical work (MSW) and be familiar with community-based research, community-based participatory research, participatory action research, and variations of full value contract.

If you don't have these exact qualifications and you are interested in doing this important work then contact us. Let's see what we can do together. We are really looking forward to working with you.
